FOR TODAY

Outside my window... As I look out it is nice to see the snow is gone on this first day of spring!

I am thinking... How blessed I was to be able to go to the Chris Tomlin concert last night with my husband and that my daughter was very giving when she gave these tickets to me for my birthday and insisted that dad go with me not her!

I am thankful... I thank the Lord God today for taking care of my family this past weekend while I have been sick!

In the kitchen... My 12 and 14 yr old took care of the kitchen today as I am still fighting this sickness.I am so proud of them for doing that today.

I am wearing... My comfy jogging pant ,purple snoke top and my housecoat as I still have the chills

I am creating... creativity hmmmm...... I really don't have any today or this last little bit.

I am going... Today is a day where I am staying put.

I am wondering... How my mom is doing today and it's been a few days since I talked to her!

I am reading... I really need to get a new book!

I am hoping... That I feel better in the morning.I hate being sick and leaving so much for my family to do!

I am looking forward to... The warm spring to come!

I am learning... That my children can handle the house without me being RIGHT there!I brings a smile to my face to see that they are going to be OK !

Around the house... The melted snow has uncovered a lot of things to be done! The new garden beds have to be planned and dug.The grass raked and some seed planted in spots that have not come back.Oh the joys of being able to get outside and enjoy our yard!

I am pondering... What we will do with the front yard at the corner of the house. It is a big area and could almost be another yard for the kids to play....I smell some ideas popping in my head!..haha

A favorite quote for today...

One of my favorite things... Lilac brushes..I love  the smell!

A few plans for the rest of the week... I am planning for next week this week.I have 10 children going to be around the house next week so I want to DO stuff with them not just have them wanting to watch TV,or video games and the computer!

A peek into my day... The house is very quiet. The children are being very good today at giving me rest, yet here I am,it is very sweet of them! They do not even have the music on and are all reading or doing quiet thing together!I think now I am up I will get them outside for a bit.Maybe it will do me good to grab a breath of fresh air!

Thank you for taking the time to read this today!i hope your week is blessed!

She has this Gift!

You are probably wondering what these pictures are and the saying. My daughter ,14yrs,has this amazing gift! She drew these 2 pictures and I have to tell you I am not artistic nor is my husband and she has not had any lessons what so ever! She really is a great artist. We live in the city so she draws from memory.Horses are her favorite but she draws many other things. we are hoping she carries on her passion for this and stays drawing!
Have a great night!

Monday..... Meal planning, school,  laundry, bowling and 2 babysitting. It is a full day!The rest of the week is very full too!School visits, report cards and having to get them into our facilitator  for the end of the week.
I am hoping things work out so this weekend we can drive down to my mom's and see how she is.She gets her Life Line installed today!

This is a scary but good thing for me.I really never thought of my mom getting old,I know you are say WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE MICHELLE, but it's true .I am the youngest of 3 and not the closest to my mom in distance or emotionally but since my stepfather died in October my heart strings for my mom are very strong!Putting her in a seniors apartment was by far the hardest for me.I thought she would always stay in HER house.Boy has my reality had a check! I always told my husband I wanted us to care for our moms and wanted to have them live with us....that's not happening. I am not sure why this is weighing so much on my heart,I did not have the greatest life with my mom,but oh well.

It is funny how we react to all this stuff, getting older, our children getting older, or even having a family! Many emotions to deal with and sort out. Knowing God is there for me to lean on has been a blessing! he never fails us!

Love.

As I get more familiar  with this blogging I will start to share more.
I will try to post my menu plans next.

Thank you for spending time here!Leave a note and let me know what you would like to see here!

Have a great Day!

For Today . . .Outside my window . . . blue sky,sun shinning and a beautiful white powder blanket cover the ground and trees.

I am thinking . . . what is next this afternoo. What activity can we do outside to enjoy this beautiful weather!

I am thankful . . . that the LORD has us in his hands. For the way he takes care of us and sees to it that we are given only what we can handle!

In the kitchen . . . clean counters and no dishes in the sink!

I am wearing . . . beige cords,a green,beige shirt,and my hair is up on the sides!

I am creating . . . a peaceful, Christ-centered home.
I am going . . . have a night of reading and spending time with my family.

I am wondering . . . if my dh will ever get a break at work.

I am reading . . . Boys Smart..tring to help our youngest as he is the only boy.

I am hoping . . . our daughter will have at her friends this afternoon.

I am looking forward to . . . this Friday as it is my BIRTHDAY!.
I am learning . . .
to be more patient and not to be quick on the loudness of my voice!

Around the house . . . prepairing forthe switching of the dinning room and living room this weekend.

One of my favorite things . . . lilacs,I love lilacs and bring soo many GREAT memories back of the farm!

A few plans for the rest of the week . . . try to get one daughter caught up with school, organize my room and have fun with my children!

A favorite quote for the day . . . Bringing up a family should be an adventure, not an anxious discipline in which everybody is constantly graded for performance.
-- Milton R. Saperstein

Scripture thought . . . There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard! -Psalm 19:3
